Get started with Amazon Fire TV

Use VegaTracker to monitor video playback in your Amazon Fire TV (Vega OS) application. VegaTracker captures video events and sends them to New Relic as entities, giving you visibility into playback quality across Fire TV devices. With device info enabled, you can filter and facet your video data by real Fire TV device model and OS version in NRDB.

중요

VegaTracker sends data through New Relic's mobile pipeline. The applicationToken is a mobile application token — distinct from a browser license key. You obtain it separately in Install the tracker.

Prerequisites

Make sure you have:

Install the tracker

Select Streaming Video & Ads

Select the Streaming Video & Ads tile.

Select account

Select an Account from the dropdown and click Continue.

Select platform

Select Amazon Vega / Fire TV and click Continue.

Select video player

Select your video player and click Continue. VegaTracker supports Shaka Player, Dash.js, and HTML5.

Name your application

Enter a name for your application and click Create. This generates the mobile application token you'll use to initialize VegaTracker.

Complete player-specific installation

Follow the installation guide for your selected player:

Shaka Player

Install VegaTracker for Shaka Player.

Dash.js

Install VegaTracker for Dash.js.

HTML5

Install VegaTracker for the native HTML5 video element.

View your data
